Fresh water cooler
5.1 The fresh water cooler is composed of core set, outer front and rear cover, etc. The front and rear covers are equipped with anticorrosive zinc rods. The following matters should be paid attention to in the use of fresh water cooler:
(1) Keep cooling water clean to prevent channel blockage.
(2) When the ambient temperature is low, the water in the fresh water cooler should be cleared after the diesel engine is stopped to avoid freezing and cracking the copper pipe.
5.2 When the fresh water cooler is used for a period of time and the cooling effect is significantly reduced or water leakage and blockage occur, it should be dismantled, inspected and cleaned in time. Here's how:
(1) Drain the water in the fresh water cooler.
(2) Remove the fresh water cooler, remove the front and back covers, and pull out the cores.
(3) Clean all parts, especially the core set, the inner and outer walls of the pipe, and rinse them repeatedly with clean water. Finally, dry with compressed air.
(4) The damaged copper pipe can be repaired by welding. If it cannot be repaired, the two ends of the damaged copper pipe can be blocked firmly. But the blocked copper pipe should not be more than ten, otherwise replace the core set. Aging and damaged seals should be replaced at the same time.
(5) Reassemble in the reverse order of the above disassembly and inspection
Note: The core and the "O" mark on the housing must be aligned.
Precautions for cooling system use
1, strictly control the quality of cooling water with dry diesel engine cooling water must meet the requirements. Never add coolant to an overheated diesel engine. Allow the engine to cool naturally first. (See Chapter 12 6 for details)
2. After the diesel engine starts, the oil cooler water pump should be opened to discharge the gas in the cooling system.
3. The inlet of cooling water should be strictly controlled during the operation of diesel engine. Water outlet temperature. The temperature of high temperature circulating water should be kept within the range of 60~80ºC, and the maximum outlet temperature should not exceed 85ºC. The low temperature circulating water temperature should not exceed 45ºC.
4. When the ambient temperature is below 5ºC, the diesel engine must preheat the cooling water before starting, and the water temperature should rise to at least 20ºC before starting. 5, when the ambient temperature is below zero, it is best to use antifreeze. If ordinary cooling water is used, after the diesel engine stops, all the cooling water in the high and low temperature circulation system shall be discharged cleanly when the water temperature drops below 40ºC. In particular, the residual water in the copper pipe of the oil cooler shall be discharged cleanly to prevent freezing and cracking of the parts.
6. Check the cooling water level frequently and add cooling water at any time. Only when the diesel engine is stopped and the nozzle cover is cool enough to be touched by hand. Slowly unscrew the water filler cover. To maintain a good cooling effect.
7, strictly according to the maintenance requirements of each component, regular cleaning, descaling.
8. Replacement of zinc rod:
Regular inspection of zinc rods in all locations, such as heat exchanger, water pump, intercooler, oil cooler, body channel cover plate, etc.
(1) Remove all zinc rod plugs.
(2) Gently knock the zinc rod with a hand hammer. If the zinc rod has been corroded or turned into fragments after knocking, the zinc rod should be replaced.
(3) unscrew or drill the original zinc rod from the plug.
(4) Install the new zinc rod on the plug and install the plug.
